Young and beautiful, Elvis Presley in the 1960s
This computer-generated image shows what the singing legend, who died in 1977 aged 42, might have looked like if he had lived to see his 80th birthday on Thursday.
Photography website Phojoe.com took advantage of the same forensic software used to solve crimes and find missing children to age a picture of the young star.
It describes the process as “part art, part science and part technology”.
The image emerged as Elvis fans were offered the chance to bid for two jets he once owned.

Named the Lisa Marie and the Hound Dog II, the jets have been on display at Graceland, Elvis’s mansion, for the past 30 years.
They are no longer airworthy and the Lisa Marie’s last flight was when it took Elvis’s ex-wife Priscilla Presley and his good friend George Hamilton from California to his funeral.
The sale by Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills will close in February.
The jets are being sold as a pair and are expected to raise up to £9.7million.
