Elvis and Wacko Jacko were individual artists.. the Beatles were a band…. and all they did was revolutionize popular music, music recording, the rock album as an art form… all the while writing dozens of classic songs and love songs.. Lennon/McCartney… and Harrison followed Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry’s lead by actually writing their own songs and playing their own instruments….
Elvis is a legend… but he is a singer… the only thing he ever wrote were checks..
and MJ? No matter what he was in life… all that he hid, paid-off, and swept away, will always out-way his musical accomplishments.
The Beatles my friend were the Rosetta Stone… it is just that simple. From music to pop culture… they were it… there are many words that 99.99% of the world associate with the Beatles…. overrated is not one of them.
