In 1969, The legendary Woodstock music festival ended in upstate New York.
In 1970, Keyboardist and singer/songwriter Christine McVie of U.K. blues outfit Chicken Shack joined up with new husband John McVie in Fleetwood Mac.
In 1977, President Jimmy Carter eulogizes Elvis Presley (who died the day before) saying he “permanently changed the face of American popular culture.” Not surprisingly, FTD has their busiest day ever delivering flowers to Graceland.
