Last night my husband and I attended Legends in Concert, or as my husband paraphrased it, “Nostalgia with Energy”. The show was very lively and over before we knew it!
It opened with Stevie Wonder, followed by Dolly Parton, Steven Tyler, Britney Spears and Elvis Presley. Not only did each performer sing their popular songs but they stayed in character as they talked to the audience. Enhancing the experience were the overhead videos showing the actual performer often singing the same songs.
Although each performer was great and had the stars mannerisms down from Elvis’s gyrating and kissing many of the women in the audience to Dolly’s country charms, my favorite was Steven Tyler. This tribute artist not only had the energy from running around the stage with the microphone and jumping on the stage, he really looks and sounds like him and I thought I was at an Arrowsmith concert! Enhancing the show were the Legend Dancers whose high energy and audience engagement made for a great time.
