The Grove Theatre presents their production of “Bye Bye Birdie” over the next three weekends.
“Bye Bye Birdie” tells the story of Conrad Birdie, an Elvis Presley type rock star, who has recently been inducted into the army. Before he goes, his agent and agent’s girlfriend, plan one last publicity stunt, to kiss an All-American girl live on the Ed Sullivan show. But Birdie will turn the girl’s family, his handlers and the whole town of Sweet Apple, on their heads before he leaves.
“Bye Bye Birdie” will be performed at 7:29 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26, Nov. 1 and 2, 8 and 9, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 and 10. Tickets are $20 to $25.
The Grove Theatre is located at 276 East 9th Street in Upland.
