Useless Facts time: Love her or hate her, Madonna has certainly led a fascinating life. August 16 is a particularly eventful day for the pop singer: On this day in 1958, baby Madonna (AKA, Madonna Louise Ciccone) is born. On this day in 1985, Madonna marries Sean Penn in Malibu, CA. (They divorce four years later.) And on this day in 2005, Madonna suffers serveral broken bones in a horse riding accident outside her home in London.
