The Beatles are one of the most famous rock bands the world has ever seen. They are an English band that was found in Liverpool in 1960. The band included John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The Beatles are one of the first bands to use electronic instruments and tools to create some of the greatest songs ever written and performed. The beatles were also very popular because of their cultural influence. Their music was very different and unique. They tried different styles of rock ‘n’ roll. Mixing different genres, essentially equalling up to their own sophisticated style of rock. It is said that their influences included, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Little Richard, and Chuck Berry. This fact definitely was displayed through their music. Paul McCartney quoted on Presley, “Nothing really affected me until I heard Elvis. If there hadn’t been Elvis, there would not have been the Beatles.” Little did they know the influence they would have on the many other bands of today. The Beatles can be compared to many of the legends in not only the music industry but in other areas because of their originality and uniqueness.
The Beatles are definitely a big inspiration for me. Through their music they embraced their uniqueness and talent exceedingly. Many musicians today allow the influence of “popular” music take over their own perception. Completely changing their original style that they loved and wanted to portray. I respect and love the Beatles for their confidence in their music and style. Because now, most of their songs are loved by many and will remain some of the greatest hits in the music business.
