Elvis Presley: A Moment in Time – 4 Days in '56 | ElvisGoldHosting

These remarkable photos capture “A Moment in Time” just before his rocket takes off and he becomes the icon we still know today.

It’s an intimate look at life backstage, on stage, with his band, his fans and his family during the most important year of his life. We tell this story through the first person accounts of people who were there including his band members, musicians who performed in his warm up bands, disc jockeys who introduced the shows and from the newspapers that reported on the Elvis phenomenon as it made its way across the country.

These eyewitnesses combined with the historic images that have been called one of the “great discoveries” of Elvis photos by the leading Elvis historian, Ernst Jorgensen, give the reader an inside look at what life was like for the young singer.

We join the tour in Detroit, Michigan where he packs the house for three shows at the Fabulous Fox theater and hosts a private party for some lucky youngsters and a later party for the adults. Then journey to Columbus, and Dayton, Ohio and finally home to Memphis where he gets to spend a few days with his family in the house he’d bought them on Audubon Drive.

“I hope the fans love the images and the story as much as I do,” said Jorgensen.
