This kind of things makes me wonder at how anyone can feel people on disability are scamming the system. It is so hard, you have to show so much hard evidence of a medical condition and even then some arent approved.
Im glad at least that the man your living with you said has been more supportive since you found out
Soc sec uses any possible reasn to deny a person. In your case it sounds like the judge used it against you that you were waiting to see orthopedic doctor, and that you were not taking the maximum 4 pills a day. I guess the lesson there is if you do try to appeal or sart over, make sure to see an orthopedic doctor, get an appointment with any ortho doctor around, don't wait for a referral to one and also I guess make sure to take the full prescribed amount of four pills a day..I'm not sure even if this is good advice or not, some of these judges will find any reasn to deny a person
I'm confused bout the ve in your case though, bc I thought you said the ve stated there weren't any jobs you could do with your limitations....
I know its hard, try to fnd some peace and just trust that somehow someway your needs will be met
