READING: Vincent Zandri @ Albany Public Library, Albany. The Local 518 mystery writer will read from his latest novel “The Concrete Pearl” and recent changes in the publishing industry. 7pm. FREE.
THEATER: “Million Dollar Quartet” @ Proctors, Schenectady. It’s opening night for the Tony Award-winning musical that was inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together rock & roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. 8pm. $20, $35, $45, $50, $60 & $70. Through Sunday.
READING: Jon Sands @ yBar, Pittsfield. The author will read from his 2011 book “The New Clean,” as well as other recent work. 8pm. $5 donation suggested.
