That’s easy.. it would have to be WOODY GUTHRIE. He used music to make some of the greatest civil rignts changes that have evern happened. I’ll almost bet any amouont of money you care to lose that you have never HEARD of WOODY GUTHRIE however, even though he was very famous in the 1960′s.
The BEATLES were also the ONE, SINGLE group from the 1960′s to change music forever.
Of course, you could chose me.. My only GOLD RECORD came from the 1960′s.. it was a 45 RPM record, too.
The 1960′s were the GOLDEN AGE of Rock.. or don’t you know that? It would be very hard to pick just ONE person as the “Musician of the 1960′s that is just a OVERLY SIMPLISTIC QUESTION and HAS NO ANSWER.
