They both are legends. There are always something that Beatles had while Elvis didn’t and vice versa. The truth is, Beatles are influenced by Elvis, but not entirely, they sort of just found their own music, that’s why they become the hottest thing in 60′s. They both respect each other and perhaps idolized each other too, since Lennon and McCartney sang some of Elvis’ song, and so did Elvis (He cover Something, Yesterday, etc). As for me, I prefer Beatles version. Softer and beautiful.
