No one pushed by the clarinet that once belonged to film director Woody Allen at the auction that was held this Sunday at the 14th International the disk of Barcelona fair, according to organizers of the event.
The clarinet of Allen, whose fondness for playing this instrument with his jazz band is universally known, went to auction with a starting price of 2,200 euros. The organisers regretted that the auction of the clarinet was deserted, but stressed that more than half of the products auctioned were sold.
What if sold
The lots include several hair of Elvis Presley, a guitar signed by the band Bon Jovi, another guitar signed by Bruce Springsteen and a dish of battery signed by former Beatle Ringo Starr.
The clarinet which is subastaba was a Buffet Crampon – Carl Fischer – whether flat, tuned to 440 and in perfect condition in the wood, but with a barely perceptible fissure in the campaign that does not affect its sound. This type of clarinet, which uses the Albert system, ceased manufacture in the early 1940s and is difficult to find, so their conservation status is key for use.
A total of 18,000 people visited the international fair of Barcelona drive, which opened on Friday and closed this Sunday, according to the organization.
