Elvis Presley – What if
-Answer a “what if” question, such as “what if X broke up early in their career?” or “what if X didn’t die?”
Elvis Presley, commonly titled ‘the king’ of which many say he is the soul creator of the rock and roll genre. Elvis was first discovered in a studio recording a song for his mother when the receptionist heard something in his voice, the rest is history –from this point and onwards none of the songs he recorded were of his own words, but, I wonder, if Elvis himself were the one to actually create such chart-topping and ‘influential’ pieces, would he be just as famous or popular as he was or would he never reach stardom and would the world never know of Elvis Aaron Presley?
Though, surely there must be a reason to the evasion of his song writing. There is the likely possibility that Presley’s lyrical skills were poor, thus they would make no or very little money for the companies and partnerships he was signed with and maybe if Presley insisted that he should be the one to write and perform his own songs (considering the possibility of his depleted song writing) he may be abandoned by the record company and become pub singer or a busker… On the other hand fans of his previously may find him to be even more ‘attractive’ because he’s capable of ‘brilliance’ and potentially resulting in big bucks for him and the companies surrounding him…
Both the possibilities for Presley to lose fame of gain it would still be open but I would suggest the more obvious one would be the renouncement of him from his record for the simple reason of the companies not making what they believe is a sufficient amount of dosh and eventually he would be forgotten.
