From singing “Old Shep” in a youth talent show to climbing to the top of the charts with “Hound Dog,” Rovers played a prominent role in the life of the king of rock and roll, who was the proud pet parent to a number of dogs of the course of his life. During Elvis Week 2012 fans on hand to mark the 35th anniversary of Presley’s passing will have the opportunity to show their dogged devotion to both the singer and Spots at a party for a paws cause.
On August 10th enthusiasts and special guests who gather for the annual Meet Up at Marlowe’s will share memories of the entertainment icon, bid on items in an Elvis auction and win door prizes all to raise funds for the Spay and Neuter Clinic of Memphis, which will receive the donation in Elvis’s name.
Tickets are required for the event.
