50 years after of Marilyn Monroe, her death still fascinates and intrigues millions of fans.
Monroe, who was just 36 at the time of her death, was found naked and face down in her bed at her Brentwood, California home. LA coroners determined that Marilyn’s death was due to acute barbiturate poisoning and calling her death a probable suicide.
Now, 50 years after her death, her estate continues to be a top-earner, pulling down a cool $27 million last year. According to Forbes only the estates of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley earned more.
Marilyn had no children and no siblings…her estate was purchased in 2010 by Authentic Brands Group and its partner, NECA.
