ITV Studios Global Entertainment Represents Two New Brands ...

ITV Studios Global Entertainment will now represent Babar  as well as the 3-D CG-animated children's program Matt Hatter Chronicles. ITVS GE owns the UK rights to Babar, and the UK, Eire, Australia, and New Zealand rights to Matt Hatter Chronicles.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment's multiyear deal with Nelvana and The Clifford Ross Company agrees to the representation of Babar across merchandising and licensing rights. The Babar agreement captures the brand throughout the years, featuring Babar from the original books, the original 1980s TV series, and the new animated series Babar and the Adventures of Badou, which currently airs on CITV.  The initial campaign will target the preschool, nursery, and gifting categories, with a focus on eliminating the nostalgic Babar style in the UK market.

The deal with Platinum Films Limited sees ITVS GE represent Matt Hatter Chronicles across merchandising, publishing, promotional, and home entertainment rights. Aimed at 5- to 10-year-old boys, Matt Hatter Chronicles centers around Matt, a 13-year-old boy who stumbles across his family secret: the Hatters are the defenders of a gateway to a different dimension—the "multiverse." Produced by Platinum Films and Dream Mill, Inc., the series uses state-of-the-art 3-D animation.
