LeapFrog has teamed up with Space Enterprises to bring pre-school CGI animation series The Hive to LeapPad and Leapster Explorer. The TV bee family will debut on to the LeapFrogAppCenter this summer, with episodes of the series available for exclusive download to the children's learning tablet and the Leapster Explorer console.

The Hive, produced by Monumental Productions, Lupus Films, and DQ Entertainment, follows the fortunes of a friendly bee family that lives in Honeybee Hive. The show is a success with pre-schoolers on both ITV and Disney Junior, and is set to continue its popularity through the launch of, initially three, downloadable video apps on LeapFrog's AppCenter.

Each downloadable video app contains five episodes from the TV series and can be purchased for about $8 per app. The episodes will be available in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and several countries in the Middle East and Asia, starting June 19, with further launches to be announced.
